to announce the beginning of ìA Lifestyle Momentî, a new communications tool designed
to provide you with important information about our lifestyle real estate investment
trust. We believe the lifestyle marketplace in which we do business creates experiences
that bring meaning to individualsí lives. Through this new tool, we hope to capture
and share these experiences with you.
I would like to share some news with you about Sunday River, one of our ski and
mountain lifestyle properties, located in Bethel, Maine. Sunday River has officially
unveiled a brand new $7 million chondola, a combination chair lift and gondola.
The Sunday River chondola is the first in the northeastern US, carrying six-person
chairs and eight-person gondola cars on one high-speed lift. This new chondola will
give skiers and riders direct access to six of Sunday Riverís eight interconnected
mountains in just under seven minutes. Along with the new choldola, Sunday River
introduced night skiing, which will be serviced by the chondola, on weekends and
holidays.
I was honored to take part in the Grand Opening celebration at Sunday River on December
20, 2008. Judging from the crowds I saw at the debut, this new lift is a welcome
addition to the various amenities Sunday River offers to guests of all ages.
