Career Highlights
Mr. Rice is responsible for management of our investments related to the ski industry. He directs the asset management efforts of each investment and develops the key relationships with our tenants within the ski sector. In addition to asset management, Mr. Rice has been responsible for directing our underwriting efforts related to our new investments and sourcing and managing deals through the acquisition process. Prior to CNL, Mr. Rice served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of lntrawest Eastern Region where he managed all aspects of four-season resort operations for five leading mountain resorts. He served as president and general manager of Snowshoe Mountain in his first role with Intrawest, where he experienced record visits and garnered a number one resort ranking in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast as rated by Ski Magazine. Before joining Intrawest, Mr. Rice served as president and general manager of Whitetail Ski Co. Inc. where he led the transformation from a day-skiing only area to a regional destination resort. He also served as commissioner for the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development, where he reorganized the department's economic development functions and enacted legislation enabling New Hampshire's state parks to become the only financially self-supporting state park system in the nation.
